documents to emails, and file your emails and attachments.
Developer Training
MVC teaches you the skills, techniques, and strategies you need to
successfully create and promote your presence on the Web using
DHTML and ASP code or using popular web design tools like MS Front
Page or Dreamweaver.
Format and Layout Text
Learn how to add codes to change the appearance of your text on a
Web page. Within the first hour of training, construct your first
page.
Add Color & Graphics
Spice up your Web pages with attractive graphics and color. We
will teach you how to choose the proper format for your graphics
and how to place these graphics on your page. In addition, you
will learn how to add background patterns and how to properly
apply colors to the text, links, and background of your page.
Link to Other Pages and Sites
You will learn how to add links from the first page you create to
other pages on your site, to pages on other sites, and to e-mail.
Design Tables
HTML tables are valuable both for displaying spreadsheet-style
information and for laying out text in columns. You will learn the
best techniques for designing, building and positioning these
tables.
Create Columns and Frames
Frames enable Web developers to split pages into multiple panels,
each containing a separate HTML document. You will learn how and
when to use frames to enhance your site's appearance and ease of
use.
Build Image Maps
Would you like to have visitors access your site's pages by
clicking on different regions of the same graphic (for instance,
clicking California on a map of the United States to display
information on California)? If so, you need to create an image
map. We will show you how to easily create "Hot Spot"
image maps.
Include Meta Tags and Submit to Search Engines
Meta tags help your pages rank higher on search engines by
providing keywords relevant to the content of your site. We will
show you how to tweak your meta tags to help improve your pages'
rankings and popularity ratings!
Implement JavaScript Image Flipping
JavaScript is an easy-to-learn scripting language that enables you
to enhance your pages with animated graphics, pop-up windows,
status bar messages, dynamic forms, and more. You will learn how
to have an image transform instantly when a user moves the mouse
over it.
Cascading Style Sheets for a Uniform Design (CSS)
CSS lets you define certain attributes and apply that style to
multiple pages. CSS allows text indents and precise line spacing,
as well as removing underlines from links, scaling fonts by point
size, and capitalizing or making text lowercase automatically.
Background colors and images can be applied to individual elements
of the page. Page elements can be overlaid and overlapped to
create effects such as drop shadows and other design effects.
Centralized Scripting "The include file"
When it's time to change the appearance of your site, it's no fun
to edit every page by hand. Include files allow you to specify
reusable code, such as a menu structure, to be inserted in to a
page. Share these elements with some or all of the pages on your
site for a cohesive and uniform look.
Understand Dynamic HTML (DHTML)
DHTML refers to the use of JavaScript with CSS to create dynamic
effects in response to user interaction. User actions, such as
clicking or moving the mouse over an element, can be used as a
trigger for making page elements visible or invisible, or for
changing their position on the fly. DHTML can be used to achieve
simple animations, drop-down menus, and other interesting visual
effects.
Active Server Pages (ASP)
Harness the power of the server-side scripting architecture for
developing database-driven Web applications for Microsoft's family
of Web servers. This training will teach you how to master
VBScript, then use it to build a data-driven site that allows
users to search, insert and delete, and update database
information.
Macromedia Flash
Spice up your Web site with interactive multimedia that combines
animation, audio, and video to create a more compelling user
experience. You will master the basics of using Flash to design
vector graphics and animations, then export your Flash files to
the Web.
